The Actuarial Intern, based on experience, will work closely with a qualified member of the Americas Life Actuarial Reserving team. The candidate will be assisting with the design and implementation of value-add analytics and modeling solutions. She/he may also participate in quarterly close process and work on other projects consistent with candidate abilities and interests as well as Company needs.

Bachelors degree track, preferably in Actuarial Science, Finance, Mathematics, or Statistics
Prior internship experience in pricing or reserving in an actuarial department of an insurance / reinsurance / consulting company is a plus

Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams of the Society of Actuaries, or equivalent credentialing organization

Exposure to (re)insurance concepts with a preference towards Life lines of business

Communication skills with the ability to present results to various colleague constituencies

Ability to develop professional relationships across functional areas such as Claims, Underwriting, Financial Accounting, Actuarial Pricing

Ability to understand numbers and analyse drivers of change

Enjoys being a team player and is passionate about learning and sharing knowledge

Microsoft Office skills, especially Word and Excel

Exposure to programming tools such as VBA, R or Python is a plus

Exposure to Tableau or other data visualisation tools is a plus

Exposure to actuarial modelling/projection software such as Prophet is a plus

Pay Range: $26.00 - 28.00 hourly rate. Actual salaries may vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, role and performance. The range listed is just one component of SCOR's total compensation package for employees.
