Job purpose

This is an intern / co-op position for an Engineering Student in theBattery and Charging Systemsbusiness unit.  The candidate will be responsible forworking with the service team totroubleshootbattery systemsand equipment. He/shewilldevelopstandards ofwork, includingtrainingplans,andtime studiesofservice techniciansandwillbe responsiblefor KeyPerformanceIndicators(KPI) management.

Key responsibilities

• Service and Warranty Management:

• KeyPerformanceIndicators(KPI)management

• Troubleshooting battery system and equipment 

• Trackservicesite maintenance 

• Trackservicetoolchange requests

• Problem Solving:

• Assist in structuredproblem-solvingprocess (8D) forcustomer returns.

• Support lessons learned read across activity to other plants or regions.

• Coordinate problem solving between engineering and service technician.

• Workshop

• Support the development of a training plan 

• Timestudies 

• Other duties as assigned by the manager.

andWhat we’re looking for

• Student working towarda bachelor’s degree(Electrical EngineeringorElectrical EngineeringTechnicianPreferred,butwill alsoconsider Mechanical or Computer Engineer)

• Willingness to learntools such as 8D, 5 whys, Quality Alerts to resolve quality issues.

• Excellent drive for results with the ability to coordinate projects from start to completion.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
