Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
Include but are not limited to:
Understand and learn to advise on local cash markets and basis.
Learn to coordinate truck and rail operations.
Learn and follow safety and OSHA laws/guidelines.
Grain Grading: learning and applying the USDA grain grading standards.
Grain Flows: track and map the flow of grain throughout one or more terminal facilities.
Rail loading: learn what it takes to load and unload railcars, as well as perform various rail loading duties.
Assist in housekeeping and maintenance of facility grounds including but not limited to cleaning the lot, dusting, sweeping, mopping and vacuuming.
Assist in equipment maintenance.
Communicate activities, needs and accomplishments with management.
Skills and Qualifications:
Possess exceptional organizational and communication skills.
At least one prior internship.
Pursuing a degree in an Ag related field.
Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable vehicle.
Ability to use Microsoft apps and programs.
Education and Experience:
Currently enrolled in accredited college or university.
