Social Media Intern/Co-op

The Integrated Communications & Content Team at Mimecast is seeking aSocial Media Internto help drive a robust brand communications strategy. This role offers hands-on experience in content creation, media strategy, and cross-functional collaboration, with a special focus on cybersecurity trends and brand engagement.This Co-op will be from January 2026-June 2026.

What You'll Do:

• Contribute to all aspects of social media content creation, including writing, editing, proofreading, and posting

• Develop and contribute fresh, creative ideas on a variety of internal and external projects

• Vet social media requests from other Mimecast teams and execute on topics we choose to move forward on 

• Support Mimecast’s earned media program with research, pitch ideation and tactical execution on opportunities 

• Review written content and provide feedback and suggestions 

• Stay up to date on cybersecurity trends and develop creative ways for Mimecast to join relevant conversations 

• Attend meetings with external communications agencies and support the team with accurate administrative work and support 

• Work cross functionally with other Mimecast teams to support key global initiatives. Teams include, but are not limited to: partner, field, campaigns, analyst relations, global events, content, revenue ops, business development, and product marketing

What You'll Bring:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

• Strong writing and editing skills with keen attention to detail.

• Familiarity with social media platforms and an interest in content creation.

• Creative thinker with a knack for identifying emerging trends and developing engaging ideas.

• Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
