Overview
GitHub is looking for a resourceful and execution minded Marketing Operations Technology and Analytics Intern to join our Global Marketing Operations team. This role will help design new MarTech architecture between our complex systems and product manage our marketing analytics roadmap. This is an incredibly dynamic internship that gives a taste of one of the hottest growing functions in SaaS where you will be working on solving complex problems in a fast paced environment. The nature of Marketing Operations is multi-faceted and this internship will give you a taste of the breadth and depth of value that it unlocks for organizations.
For 12 weeks, you’ll be working closely with our Global Marketing Operations team; onboarding onto our extensive MarTech Stack, become an expert on lead flow orchestration, understanding our analytics roadmap, and identifying areas of opportunity that you can help scope out. This internship requires the ability to learn new tools and frameworks quickly while also juggling multiple priorities and projects at once. You will thrive in this role if you’re interested in accelerating your knowledge in Marketing and a desire to become a technical architect for Marketers in bringing their campaigns to life and measuring their impact.
This is a remote summer internship for 12 consecutive weeks with start dates between May-June 2026.
Responsibilities
- Put on your product management hat and own our Marketing Analytics Roadmap. Work with our analytics stakeholders in identifying key user stories and features to help plot our development for marketing dashboards, data sets, and data pipelines
- Help our lead flow team in troubleshooting GitHub’s lead flow; uncovering gaps and inefficiencies with the goal to strengthen our lead flow resilience and ensure no leads are left behind
- Understand the ins and outs of GitHub’s MarTech stack and uncover new builds or frameworks to find growth levers, gaps, and propose process improvements
- Be our eyes in the sky in understanding the health and strength of our Marketing execution; reviewing our campaigns, demand funnel, and reporting out weekly trends to keep our teams aware
- Help generate the data and intelligence for Marketing’s Monthly Business Review presentations that are sent to GitHub’s Leadership Teams
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a MBA or Master's program, preferably in Business, Marketing, Management Consulting, or related field with an expected conferral date between December 2026 and August 2027.
- 2+ years of professional experience prior to your degree, preferably in roles such as Marketing Operations, Marketing Analytics, or Management Consulting.
- 1+ years of experience with Marketing Technology Platforms such as Marketo, HubSpot, Eloqua etc.
- 1+ years of SQL or Python experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a high degree of comfort presenting to leadership.
- A proactive, "get-it-done" mindset with a high degree of ownership and a desire to learn quickly.
- 1+ years of experience with Salesforce.
Compensation Range
The base salary range for this job is USD $31.82 - USD $84.42 /Hr.
These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
