We are looking for a highly motivatedHealth & Safety Internto join our team. The intern will assist in promoting and ensuring a safe working environment by supporting the Health and Safety team in implementing safety programs, conducting audits, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This role offers a hands-on learning opportunity for individuals interested in workplace safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

10-week program that will run from June 2026 to August 2026

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Assist in conducting safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations
Support the team in developing, reviewing, and updating health and safety policies, procedures, and training materials
Help coordinate and facilitate safety training sessions for employees on topics such as proper use of equipment, emergency procedures, and hazard communication
Participate in incident investigations, helping to gather data and identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences
Assist in maintaining accurate records of safety audits, training logs, incident reports, and safety performance metrics
Work closely with different departments to promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement
Research new safety regulations, best practices, and industry standards to ensure the company remains compliant with evolving health and safety laws
Participate in emergency response planning and drills, ensuring procedures are well communicated and practiced across the organization

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Currently pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field from an accredited university
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous internship or work experience in a health and safety role or related field
Knowledge of OSHA standards, environmental health regulations, and safety compliance requirements
Familiarity with incident reporting software or safety management systems
