2026 Intern – Accounting & Tax – San Francisco

Position Overview

The 2026 Summer Intern will assist the global Fund Accountant, ManCo Accountant, and Tax Accountant teams at the company’s headquarters in San Francisco. This is an exciting opportunity to develop both technical skills and business knowledge at an established alternative investment firm. The intern will be responsible for working alongside team accountants and accounting professionals in the day-to-day accounting responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, possess exceptional organizational and communication skills, and have strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Provide broad assistance to the accountant teams on all facets of the tax, fund, and management company accounting functions, including but not limited to: 
  • Preparation and review of estimated tax calculations, investor tax documents, filings, reports, and research and analysis relating to investor tax questions  
  • Preparation of investment fund books and documents; and gather information for requests/research questions 
  • Preparation of management company monthly books and unaudited financials, regulatory surveys and corporate filings
  • Assist Accounts Payable Team with invoice and payment processing
  • Assist with Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) as it relates to monthly cashflows, budget, and trend analysis
  • Perform any other ad-hoc support duties assigned by Accounting managers, including, but not limited to preparing quarterly investment valuations for illiquid investments

Qualifications

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to structure problems and execute analyses.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows environment, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Finance or Accounting undergraduate students preferred
  • Team-oriented, dependable, and curious

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience and expertise. The monthly salary for this San Francisco-based position is expected to be $5,858.67.
