The JM Family College Internship Program is designed to create an opportunity for college students to have meaningful work experiences that tie to their programs of study. As part of this program, you will actively contribute to your team’s success, learn about JM Family’s companies and culture while obtaining new skills through learning opportunities, networking events and much more. 

The ideal candidate will be available to work full-time during the Summer Internship Program (May 26th, 2026 - July 31st, 2026).

Interns will engage in meaningful work and gain insights into specific projects or tasks, providing hands-on experience and contributing to various department initiatives. They will learn about JM Family’s culture, including our core values: Consideration, Cooperation, Communication, Innovation, and Accountability. These core values are part of our keys to success, and the skills that embody these values are what drive our success as an organization.

The Workplace Inclusion Intern will gain hands-on experience through projects and assignments that support enterprise-wide Workplace Inclusion efforts and the company’s Diversity & Inclusion strategy. Reporting to the Inclusion Manager, the intern will assist with initiatives involving Diversity & Inclusion Champions, Business Resource Groups, and the coordination of cultural celebrations. The role also includes managing content and engagement within the Viva Engage and Teams communities dedicated to Inclusion and Belonging.

Responsibilities: 

  • Support the Inclusion Manager in executing enterprise-wide cultural programs and Diversity & Inclusion initiatives.

  • Assist with planning and logistics for cultural celebrations and observances.

  • Provide administrative and project support to Diversity & Inclusion Champions and Business Resource Groups.

  • Manage and maintain content and engagement within Viva Engage and Teams communities focused on Inclusion and Belonging.

  • Support the planning and facilitation of the D&I Book Club, including scheduling communications, researching book titles, procuring materials, curating discussion content, managing registration and book delivery, and promoting engagement across the organization.

  • Contribute to communications, presentations, and reports that highlight inclusion efforts across the organization.

  • Track participation, feedback, and help assess the impact of inclusion-related programs and events.

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to enhance inclusion programming and engagement strategies.

  • Conduct research on emerging trends in workplace inclusion and recommend opportunities for future programming.

Qualifications: 

  • This is a full-time internship with flexible working arrangements based on business needs. 

  • The ideal candidate will be actively enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or other degree-seeking program at an accredited college or university.

  • Preferred fields of study include Human Resources, Organizational Development, Communications, Social Sciences, or related fields.

  • Must have completed at least one semester of coursework. 

  • Relevant completed coursework may include classes focused on diversity, inclusion, organizational behavior or similar topics. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Viva Engage and Microsoft Teams is a plus.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
