Advanced Technology Group: The Advanced Technology Group operates at the intersection of emerging technology and media operations. We identify, prototype, and deploy innovative solutions that transform how Disney creates, manages, and delivers content across our global portfolio. Our team bridges the gap between cutting-edge capabilities and the practical realities of broadcast and media production workflows by designing a complete and complex framework, system or product.
What You Will Do:
- Research and design processes for Cloud-based tools for automation, monitoring, transcoding, and transport.
- Utilize software solutions to architect scalable, secure, and resilient broadcast systems.
- Partner with Operations to research and develop efficient workflows for automation
- Present new solutions for Automation and Machine Learning, gathering feedback and developing strong use-cases
- Use system health and performance monitoring platforms to identify, analyze and resolve system design weaknesses discovered in the vendor development process.
- Create, review, and contribute to system and workflow documentation.
- Participate in ongoing training and development initiatives.
- Perform any other duties necessary to support business objectives.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Knowledge and experience in one and/or more of the following: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Oracle for storage, compute, or media workflows.
- Exposure to programming skills, especially in Python; familiarity with R, SQL, or C++
- Foundational knowledge of machine learning concepts, including supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn continuously in the rapidly evolving AI field
- Effective written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Resourceful and optimistic mindset with a drive to contribute and make a difference.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for delivering innovative solutions.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience with studio technologies such as video walls, cameras, VR set tech, image processing systems, and touch screens.
- Experience with Broadcast Operations and 24/7 live Operations
- Experience with Broadcast vendors such as Evertz, GrassValley, Dataminer, TAG e.g.
- Experience with AI/machine learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, OpenCV (for computer vision), and NLTK or spaCy (for NLP)
- Version control using systems like Git.
- Data analysis and visualization using tools or libraries like Pandas, Matplotlib, Power BI, or Tableau
Education:
- Currently enrolled undergraduate student in an accredited college/university, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Broadcast Management Information Systems, Information Technology or related field.
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program AND returning to school the semester/quarter following the internship OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information:
- Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
- Fully available from M-F, 40 hours each week for the entire program duration: May/June - August/September 2026 (12 weeks)
- Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
