Job Description:

The Tax Intern is responsible for supporting defined projects and day to day tasks with the Tax team, ultimately impacting the overall success of the department. This individual will work on tax research and generally assist with any Tax department needs. In addition to Tax support, the intern contributes to a specific Intern Group Project to gain company-wide perspective and develop a solution to enhance the business.


What You'll Do: 

  • Provides project support and assists with process improvement initiatives for the Tax team or cross-functional groups.

  • Collaborates and partners with tax functions in an effort to gain an understanding of RaceTrac tax functions.

  • Works independently and collaboratively with the Tax team to meet deadlines and expectations for each project or task.

  • Executes ad hoc analysis and shares departmental data and/or recommendations to the Tax leadership team


What We're Looking For: 

  • Current enrollment in a college or university with a major that aligns with the department

  • Knowledge of Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Office)

  • Previous internship experience preferred

  • Support the designated departments’ specific project needs.

  • Actively contribute to day-to-day functions within the department role.

  • Identifies and executes individual projects as requested by department leadership.

  • Provides support with special projects as needed.
