The Badger Meter Internship Program provides hands-on, real-world experience to students through projects that make a difference! In addition to your projects, you will be given the opportunity to participate in our robust Intern program focused on Badger Meter Culture, professional development, community outreach and a final capstone project.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Training and Documentation Intern to support our Documentation Creation and Learning Experience team. This will be an onsite summer internship at our Milwaukee Wisconsin facility. This internship offers hands-on experience in content creation, instructional design, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate is curious, organized, and eager to contribute to projects that improve how knowledge is captured, shared, and learned across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist in organizing and updating documentation across platforms such as Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Smartsheet.

· Support the creation and editing of training materials including video tutorials, e-learning modules, and job aids.

· Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather content and ensure clarity and consistency.

· Help maintain version control and documentation update and approval workflows.

· Participate in storyboarding and content development for digital learning experiences.

· Develop surveys to collect to feedback and conduct analysis to improve documentation and training effectiveness.

· Research best practices in documentation and instructional design to inform team strategies.

· Engage in team meetings and contribute to project planning and execution.

Qualifications:

· Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Instructional Design, Education, English, Business, or a related field.

· Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills.

· Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite

· Interest in digital content creation and learning technologies.

· Self-starter with an ability to work independently and in a team environment.

· Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

· Adaptable to accommodate various learning styles.

Preferred Skills:

· Exposure to tools like Articulate, Adobe Premiere or video creation

· Experience with SharePoint, Smartsheet, or other documentation and project management platforms.

· Understanding of UX principles or adult learning theory is a plus.
