As a Quantitative Developer Intern, you will be working with our experienced C++ team to make improvements to our core trading systems. The goal is to learn how selected parts of the trading system work and make improvements that will have an immediate impact on end-users. This position is ideal for people interested in advancing their C++ skills on an interactive, multi-faceted financial trading platform, while working closely with the team that built and monitors the system. 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with quantitative researchers to understand and implement their technical needs.
  • Develop, test, and deploy software applications that facilitate quantitative models and trading strategies.
  • Enhance the performance and efficiency of existing code and systems.
  • Integrate new data feeds into our data processing pipelines and ensure accurate delivery.
  • Assist in maintaining and upgrading the computing infrastructure used for research and trading.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in live trading environments.


Requirements

  • Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in a STEM field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering). Graduates and students in their penultimate year are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in at least one compiled language such as C++, Rust, Java, or C#.
  • Proficiency in Python or another scripting language. 
  • Understanding of algorithms and data structures. 
  • Interest in low-level performance optimization, networking, and Linux internals.
  • Finance knowledge is beneficial but not essential.

Program DetailsThis 10-week program runs from June to August, offering training and support with a dedicated mentor. Successful interns may receive full-time job offers.

The annual base pay for this role is expected to be between $125,000 and $175,000 which will be prorated based on internship start and end date. The expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. Actual compensation for the successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of factors such as skills, qualifications and experience and level of education.
