The team you will be a part of

Education Recommendations
Currently a 2nd or 3rd-year candidate for a bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or a related field with an accredited school in Canada.
- A solid foundation in hardware electronics concepts
- Familiarity with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters
- Have completed at least one co-op work term, a 4-month paid internship, or have equivalent paid work experience
- A proactive attitude, a willingness to learn quickly, and the ability to grasp technical concepts with ease
It would be nice if you also had:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage tasks with minimal supervision
As a student in the hardware group, you’ll work with an experienced team that designs, builds, and maintains hardware solutions for Nokia's routing platforms. You’ll gain hands-on lab experience working alongside hardware developers on the latest prototype circuit boards. In addition to technical guidance, you’ll be paired with a 1-to-1 mentor—your go-to person for questions, feedback, insights into Nokia/team culture, and career conversations. This is an on-site position, and presence in the office is required.
As part of the team, you will:
- Verify and debug circuit designs using oscilloscopes and other test gear
- Test hardware under thermal and environmental conditions
- Complete the final assembly of new prototype units
- Qualify new circuit components
- Develop custom automation scripts (Perl, Python, TCL) to control test equipment
