Job Description

Cintas is currently looking for an IT Intern for the Customer Channels team.  The Customer Channels team manages and supports applications that Cintas customers use to pay bills, request changes and purchase products.  This position will have the opportunity to work closely with senior functional analysts and software developers participating in the software development, planning and executing testing, creating and updating documentation, project management and providing support for the application.  The applicant must communicate effectively with business partners and have an aptitude to learn and understand Cintas business processes.

Role:

  • Provide support in the design, development, and upkeep of e-commerce websites, with a focus on user-friendliness and visual appeal.
  • Assist in adding new features to improve user experience.
  • Assist in updating and managing website content, ensuring it is accurate and aligns with our mission.
  • Collaborate with Team: Work closely with the marketing and program teams to create engaging web pages that promote our initiatives and events.
  • Conduct Testing: Help test website functionality, identify bugs, and assist in.
  • Troubleshooting issues to improve performance.
  • Learn and Grow: Take advantage of learning opportunities to expand your knowledge of web development technologies and best practices.
  • Learn and understand how critical business processes are automated via the Customer Channels applications.
  • Work with and present to multiple levels of management your assignments and developed solutions.

Opportunities:

  • Experience in planning and eliciting requirements and managing them through the software developing lifecycle.
  • Experience in front-end web development.
  • Experience in Java coding related to online commerce sites.
  • Experience in planning and executing testing of application changes.
  • Experience in SAP Commerce technologies and online development tools.

Skills/Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an associate's, bachelor's or master's degree program in computer science, information systems, or other IT-related field .
  • You have a passion for technology and web development, along with a basic comprehension of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Your skills encompass a talent for discovering inventive solutions, as well as a strong ability to appreciate design and user experience.
  • You’re excited to dive into the world of web development and expand your skills in a nonprofit environment.
  • You enjoy collaborating with others to achieve common goals.
  • Strong understanding of JIRA, Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)
  • Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in engineering, information systems, and related technical support.
  • Basic understanding of requirements planning, project management and the application development process.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills along with a strong work ethic.
