This is a hybrid position required to be working in our Herndon, VA office at least 2 days a week.

What It's Like 
At T-Mobile Secure Federal Operations (TSFO), we focus on developing innovative solutions for sensitive customers within the U.S. Government. Together with our parent company, T-Mobile, TSFO supports the warfighter and the US DoD in today’s complex threat environment, in which speed and security are paramount. The Program Management and Contracts Team are responsible for ensuring efficiency and consistency across projects, allocating resources, aligning project objectives, proposal development, and contract administration. Together we work through the full proposal process and manage relationships with teaming partners, while also providing support to all levels of business to maintain continuous alignment of program scope with strategic objectives. Additionally, once a contract is executed our team serves as the Contracting Officer’s POC for all contract-related matters.

What You'll Do 
This role provides support for a variety of business units within TSFO and gain experience in both Government Contracting and the wireless industry. You will participate in identifying costs and risk with projects, proposal efforts, and contract procurement and administration. This individual will gain practical business, telecommunications, legal, and compliance experience following the conclusion of the program.

Key Responsibilities 
• Assist the team with tasks related to program and contract management 
• Formatting and editing of proposals and reports 
• Managing project schedules, reaching out to resources (subject matter experts, partners, etc.) as needed to keep project on track 
• Review requests for proposals to identify requirements, constraints, etc. 
• Data entry into Salesforce or similar software 

What It Takes 
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Program Management, Finance, Government, Information Technology, or a similar field 
• Interest in program/project management or proposal development and contract administration 
• Interest in a career in telecommunications, law, or Government 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Self-Starter: Takes initiative and drives projects forward with minimal supervision, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and action
• Teamwork: Collaborates effectively with peers and across teams to achieve shared goals/outcomes, fostering a culture of trust and accountability
• Strong Communication Skills: Communicates with clarity, confidence, and professionalism
• Works Well Independently: Demonstrates strong ownership and follow-through, effectively managing priorities and delivering results in a fast-paced environment
• Critical Thinking: Applies sound judgment and analytical reasoning to evaluate information, solve complex problems, and make informed decisions

• At least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be actively enrolled in a degree program
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• US Citizenship (without dual citizenship) required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government DoD Security Clearance if converted to a full-time position following the internship
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test
• Ability to obtain a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification if converted to a full-time position following the internship

Intern wages range from $20/hour to $40/hour. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on experience/location.

T-Mobile requires U.S. citizenship for certain roles within the organization. This role requires U.S. citizenship. Individuals hired into this role will be required to submit documentation proving U.S. citizenship within the first 7 days of hire - failure to do so will result in termination.
