Job Description

We are seeking an undergraduate Data Science Intern for the summer to work on a range of analytics and development projects that deliver real business value. This position involves collaborating with teams in data science, actuarial and digital fields, focusing primarily on development tasks.

What you will do for C&F:

• Assist in developing and deploying rating algorithms on AWS
• Explore and integrate external data sources through API connections
• Participate in ad-hoc data science projects including but not limited to machine learning, deep learning, OCR, and Generative AI

What you will bring to C&F:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or other mathematical/technical field
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
• Familiarity with API concepts and usage
• Ability to learn new concepts quickly
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $16.00 to a maximum of $27.50. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
