Hybrid role; must be in-office at least 2 days per week near Surrey office.

Verisk‘s Summer Internship Program is designed to provide you with real work experience, professional development, and networking opportunities. This is a full-time (35 hours/ week) paid internship program spanning ten weeks from mid-June through end of August 2026. Participation in the internship program requires that you are located near Surrey office as the program is a hybrid work schedule, requiring you to be in the office at least 2 days per week (and sporadically visiting the London office for summer internship activities)

As a Sales Intern, you’ll be immersed in the commercial side of our business, working closely with our Commercial Director, product heads and Global sales team and gaining exposure to our diverse product portfolio, including Travel, Life, and Health insurance solutions. You’ll be part of a global team, collaborating with three sales professionals based in Surrey, UK, and four others located internationally.

What We’re Looking For:

Skills and Knowledge

  • Passionate about sales, business development, and customer engagement.

  • Strong communicators with a proactive mindset and a collaborative spirit.

  • Analytical thinkers with a desire to learn and contribute meaningfully.

  • Comfortable working independently and taking initiative in a fast-paced environment.

You'll notice we did not list specific skills. That's because the "stuff" that matters, the passion, the quantitative mindset, the ability to be a good teammate but also operate independently - these are what we are evaluating you on. We seek innovators who can add to our culture, contribute to our growth, and strive for excellence.

Experience

  • Enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program. We love folks with varied coursework, but you must possess an analytical mindset, a passion for business, and a desire to innovate. Business, Economics majors, a plus.

  • A history of tackling projects with a quantitative lens, and a desire for data-driven insights.

  • Verisk serves the insurance vertical so an interest or past experience in insurance is helpful, though not required.

The Intern Program is not eligible for work visa sponsorship.  If you will require work visa sponsorship after completing your degree, you do not meet the basic requirements of the summer intern role.

What You Could Learn:

  • Lead generation and prospecting, researching potential clients and qualifying leads.

  • Participating in external client meetings, gaining direct exposure to customer needs and relationship-building.

  • Conducting market research and contributing to our Market Assessment Framework activities, helping identify new market opportunities and expansion strategies.

  • CRM Management, updating and maintaining customer and prospect records within SalesForce.

  • Exploring all product lines to build a broad understanding of our offerings and how they meet customer needs.

  • Supporting sales initiatives and engaging with customers to assess market potential and drive growth, as well as supporting with coordination of external meetings and demos.

  • Collaborating with Marketing and across business units to support commercial goals and develop innovative solutions.
