Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey in the world of 5G technology? As a Working Student in our Customer Specific Verification (CSV) Team based in Ulm, you will play a crucial role in adapting our solutions to meet specific customer configurations. This team is responsible for replicating customer-specified configuration test features and reproducing any failures discovered by the customer on the 5G system. You will be directly involved in testing internal solutions designed to adapt our generic gNB (Next Generation Node B) database to customer-specific database requirements. This is an incredible opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment while gaining hands-on experience in cutting-edge telecommunications technology. You will collaborate with seasoned engineers, allowing you to learn industry best practices and the intricacies of software validation in the 5G domain.

Do you meet the following requirements?

  • Master’s/Bachelor’s student in Germany and target to be on-site in Ulm regularly
  • Basic knowledge of 5G Mobile Networks
  • Good programming skills in Python needed for UUF tests (SW update upgrade fallback)
  • SW development or testing experience (preferable: telecommunications background)
  • Optional: Work experience in a mobile network operator team would a be big plus
  • Optional: Hands-on AI/ML knowledge would be a big plus
  • Creativity, proactivity and ability to work independently
  • Fluent in English
  • Availability for at least six months

You will :

  • Conduct 5G Mobile Networks verification testing on customized test line configurations.
  • Perform call processing feature regression and customer-centric Key Performance Indicator testing.
  • Execute OAM regression and assess OAM stability in different scenarios.
  • Participate in software upgrade and fallback testing processes.
  • Test 5G Open-RAN Fronthaul interfaces prior to deployment in customer networks.
  • Simulate various user equipment (UE) testing scenarios in a controlled environment.
  • Analyze test results to provide actionable insights and improve network performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex 5G network challenges.
