About the Role:
You will support The Wall Street Journal’s content marketing strategy, using WSJ coverage to improve awareness, consideration and traffic. You will learn how to write a creative brief, plan small-scale and large-scale marketing campaigns, and analyze performance data. Planned learning sessions will provide you with the skills you need to support the content marketing team’s daily operations and long-term goals. Additionally, you’ll get insight into key working relationships across marketing, news and our partners in creative and media. You will report into the WSJ Marketing Newsroom Lead on the Subscription Strategy Team.
This role is hybrid, based in our NYC - 1211 Ave of the Americas City office.
You Will:
-Support WSJ’s content marketing strategy by helping to evaluate and select content for promotion and branding opportunities
-Develop and review briefs and creative to roll out assets across owned and off-platform channels
-Analyze campaign performance to understand trends, optimize campaign performance and create campaign recap reports
-Foster collaboration across key groups internal groups including news, brand, engagement and acquisition as well as external partners in media and creative
-Conduct research and reports on industry trends and present back key findings to the WSJ Content Marketing Team
-Participate in designated learning sessions aimed at providing you with resume-building skills and knowledge
-Have the opportunity to participate in informal research projects and presentations to key stakeholders
You Have:
-You have completed at least two years of coursework towards a Bachelor’s in Marketing, Communications, Media, and/or Journalism
-BY NEXT SUMMER, YOU WILL BE: either a rising junior or rising senior in your undergrad program.
-Proficiency in Google Suite
-Interest/Experience in current events/news stories, project management, writing/editing and data analysis
-A passion for news and media
