At Air Liquide, we recognize that Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is both a molecule to be managed for climate purposes and a critical ingredient for industries like food and beverage. In response, we are focusing our innovation in Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU) on developing state-of-the-art purification technologies. Working alongside our partners, we are engineering solutions that guarantee a food-grade CO2 supply that is reliable, safe, and compliant with the highest industry standards, reinforcing our position as an expert in the entire CO2 value chain.
Missions and Responsibilities
Your mission in this internship, as a part of the teams of AL R&D and AL Deutschland, will be to study the CO2 capture process and purification to achieve a reliable CO2 food-grade supply. The internship will require an utilisation of different tools, ranging from material characterisation to process simulation. The intern will need to understand the specificities of different compounds present in trace amounts, understand the different experimental results and propose modeling and mitigation solutions.
The main missions entrusted to you will be:
Collect relevant data to understand purification unit
Document current methods employed in CO2 unit
Perform analysis on samples collected to understand the chemical composition and treat data of the characterisation
Link the results of the characterisation to the data of the unit where the sampling was effectuated

The internship will be carried out at Campus Innovation Paris, Air Liquide's R&D center in France located in Loges-en-Josas (1, Chemin de la Porte des Loges).
