The Reliability Hardware and Systems Team is seeking motivated individuals to fill two positions:

  • Spring Co-Op: (January - June)

  • Summer/Fall Co-Op: (May - December)

The Internship program at ADI provides young professionals with the opportunity to gain professional experience within an innovative and global company. ADI’s long-term goal is to convert an intern into a full-time employee. The University Relations Team continually strives toaccomplishthis goal year-after-year byestablishinga well-equipped program (virtual and in person) that focuses on growth, company culture, and mentorship, coupled with a collaborative work environment and passion for innovation.

These events revolve aroundthe crosscollaboration with peers and include executive speakers, lab tours, development events, social events, and community service opportunities. Our Intern Program providesopportunityfor interns to collaborate and learn, drive results, and grow their professional network.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to: 

  • Work on exciting hardware systems designs to supportcutting-edge, high complexity product burn-ins, includingsimulation,schematiccapture,and software/firmware design.

  • Design andbuild prototypestodeterminethe efficacy of one or more blocksthat make up a fullsystemsolution, making use of common prototypingskillsand toolssuch assample kits/evaluations boards,bread-/proto-boardingand 3D printing.

  • Hands-on hardware verification anddebugworkin a lab environment, documenting findings and proposing and testing solutions to novel problems.

  • Workingwithin cross-functional projectteams consisting of representatives from the Product Line, Assembly Engineering, Manufacturing, Reliability Engineering, Failure Analysis, andReliability Operations,gettingexposure to the fullproduct development lifecycle.

  • Chance to tackle challenges that spantheelectrical, mechanical, and thermal domains thatcompriseeach full hardware system solution. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Working towards BS/MSdegree withfull timestudent statusin ElectricalEngineering,ComputerEngineering, Computer Science, or a related field

  • General circuit knowledge inallcommon areaswith astrongeremphasis on digital communication, power circuits, ADCs, and microcontrollers.

  • Familiarity with embedded microcontroller concepts and applications,abilityto bridge the gap between low-level programming languages and hardware.

  • Understandingthermal principlesand behaviorsas they relate topracticalcircuit design.

  • Ability to performcircuit evaluation usinga variety ofbench test equipment includingoscilloscopes, multi-meters, andpower supplies/signal generators.

  • Knowledge of high-level programming languages such as Pythonor C#, and experience with C/C++ for low-level hardware applications.

  • Ability to use simulation tools such as SPICE (ex.LTspice) or MATLAB toaidein design anddebug ofhardware solutions.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to self-motivate, learn quickly, and havea good workethic.

  • Capable of clear,accurateandtimelycommunication both written and verbal.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3Dprinting andCAD (ex. SolidWorks)experience
