Job Description:

Duration/Hours:

June 1, 2026 – August 7, 2026

Pay rate is $25/hour for undergraduate student (rising junior or senior)

Full-time; 37.5 hours per week

ABA’s Internship provides students with a paid opportunity to work with one of the biggest trade associations in Washington, DC. This extremely selective opportunity provides students with the opportunity to do substantial work in various divisions across ABA, connect with leadership, build a network, and make a difference.

Primary Responsibilities

The Intern will have the opportunity to do substantial work in various divisions across ABA, connect with leadership, build a network, and make a difference.  Specific duties will include:

  • Provide administrative support for industry-wide Banker Resource Groups (BRGs) and meetings--- taking notes, compiling resources, etc.
  • Research and assist with the creation of presentations, materials and workshops as assigned for our Workforce Excellence Programs including Workforce Excellence Toolkit, Workforce Excellence webpage, Women Lead Workshops program and Bank or State Banking Association speaking engagements, etc.
  • Research and identify speakers for ABA conferences and BRG meetings.
  • Research and compile resources on workforce development and programming in support of ABA Workforce Excellence programs and initiatives.
  • Assist with the planning and development of ABA Workforce Excellence Awards.

Required Skills

Strong research skills and ability to synthesize information.

Strong oral and written communication.

Good attention to detail.

Ability to development presentations/slides, familiarity with Microsoft tools-- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other technology tools like SharePoint.

Ability to report into ABA headquarters located in Washington, DC, at least two-times per week (relocation assistance or stipend is not included for the intern program).

Internship positions are not eligible for healthcare insurance coverage.

Minimum Education Requirements

Major Field of Study: HR, workforce development, diversity, inclusion, community engagement

Undergraduate student (junior or senior)

Salary Band Range:

$15.00 - $37.50 - $60.00
