Job Description:
The Supply Chain Intern is responsible for supporting the analysis and implementation of initiatives within Supply Chain Distribution team. This individual will assist with various project functions and needs, ultimately impacting the overall success of the team.
What You'll Do:
Participate on improvement projects across supply chain and distribution centers
Participate in time and motion studies, and/or value stream mapping
Leverage analytical skills to create reports and presentations
Gain experience with industry strategies, methodologies, systems and processes.
Provides support during the data collection phase of a project using work measurement concepts
Collaborates cross-functionally on assignments with internal and external stakeholders to understand the results of data analysis and research
Identifies future strategic opportunities / potential operational improvements with emphasis on efficiency
Review layout, process and equipment design to ensure integration between different components and reduce lastminute conflicts.
Helps develop alternative solutions to eliminate conflicts and reduce costs.
Carries out ad hoc project support functions as requested by the hiring manager.
What We're Looking For:
Current enrollment in a college or university with a major that aligns with the department
Knowledge of Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Office)
Previous internship experience preferred
