Job Description

Cintas is currently looking for an IT Intern Engineer for the Operational Technology team.  The Operational Technology team works on systems primarily associated with the Rental production floor. This position will have the opportunity to work closely with functional analysts and software engineers developing, understanding requirement changes, unit and system testing, cross impact evaluation, and providing support for the applications.  The applicant must communicate effectively with business and IT partners and have an aptitude to learn and understand Cintas business processes.

Role:

  • Work with functional analysts and software engineers to architect, develop, test, and deploy software solutions in support of Cintas’ customer-facing applications
  • Learn and understand how critical production processes are automated via Operational Technology applications
  • Work with and present to multiple levels of management your assignments and developed solutions

Opportunities:

  • Participates in projects and basic programming, and writing code
  • Work under the technical direction of more experienced engineers
  • Resolve programming issues
  • Support day-to-day troubleshooting
  • Conducts unit testing and /or integration testing of application modules to ensure application meets specifications.

Skills/Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an associate's, bachelor's or master's degree program in computer science, information systems
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)

Preferred:

  • Experience with relational database knowledge (e.g. MSSQL)
  • Experience with .net programming development (e.g. C#, ASP.net)
  • Experience developing system and software requirements and design
  • Experience working with common scripting languages (ex: Javascript, Powershell)
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Git, JIRA)
  • Experience with client/server environment knowledge
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills along with a strong work ethic
