About the Team Our team works at the intersection of technical strategy and business operations, translating complex ideas into clear technology narratives. Summary We are seeking a motivated Writer Intern to help craft compelling stories about PayPal’s technical strategy and business operations. This role is ideal for someone who loves to explore complex systems, make them understandable, and bring strategic ideas to life through engaging written content.

What You’ll Do

  • In collaboration with cross-functional partners, research and draft internal and external communications that explain PayPal’s technical vision, product launches, and business operations.
  • Translate technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences (technical teams, executives, partners).
  • Support the creation of playbooks and strategy documents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and operations.
  • Contribute to editorial calendars, storytelling frameworks, and content reviews.

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, Business, English, Technical Writing, or a related field.
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
  • Curiosity about technology, strategy, and operations.
  • Ability to research, synthesize, and structure information into clear narratives.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Internship Program Information and Requirements: 

  • This is a Summer 2026 Internship program. Spring and Fall 2026 internships are not available. 

  • Must currently be pursuing degree in Communications, Journalism, Business, English, Technical Writing or related field from an accredited college or university. 

  • Must be returning to school in the Fall of 2026. 

  • Must reside in the U.S. during the Summer internship program. 

  • Must be able to obtain authorization to work in the U.S. for the summer.

The U.S. national hourly pay range for this role is $22 to $33.
