Job Summary:
The Corporate Legal Intern will support Harbinger’s General Counsel & Legal Team in handling a wide range of legal and business matters, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, commercial transactions, intellectual property, and government affairs. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a high-paced startup in the electric vehicle (EV) industry while working closely with a dynamic and cross-functional team.
- Location: Immerse yourself in our innovative culture! This role requires a commitment of 4 days in-office per week at our advanced facility in Garden Grove, CA as well as full-time hours (40 hours a week).
- Duration: Start date January 5, 2026 through March/April 2026, depending on your school schedule.
- Relocation Support: A $1,000 relocation stipend is available for interns currently residing more than 50 miles from Garden Grove, CA.
What You'll Do:
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and revising contracts (NDAs, supplier agreements, customer agreements, etc.).
- Conduct legal research on compliance issues and incentives relevant to the commercial EV industry.
- Work on government affairs initiatives, including policy research and engagement strategies.
- Support JVs, partnerships and strategic transactions, including due diligence and documentation.
- Assist in developing internal legal processes to enhance efficiency and risk management.
Required Skills:
- Currently enrolled in a J.D. program (1L or 2L preferred).
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Interest in corporate, commercial, regulatory, and transactional law.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn.
- Interest in startups, hardware, automotive, or sustainability is a plus, but not a requirement.
