• Through experiences, students gain exposure to careers within healthcare including business, finance, human resources, hospital operations, patient experience, nursing and more.
• For each of these opportunities, the intern will partner with leaders on special projects, department operations, and processes improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in monitoring cybersecurity tools and dashboards.
Engage in organizational e-learning and computer-based training (CBTs) to become familiar with tools and procedures.
Help identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
Support incident response efforts and assist with documentation.
Participate in internal security audits and compliance assessments.
Research current cybersecurity threats, indicators, vulnerabilities, and trends.
Contribute to the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
Participate in team discussions related to organizational cybersecurity concerns.
Assist with security awareness and training programs.
Maintain documentation of systems, processes, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Completion of at least one upper-level (300-level or equivalent) course or three mid-level (200-level) courses in relevant subjects.
Basic understanding of networking, operating systems, and cybersecurity principles.
Familiarity with security technologies (e.g., antivirus, firewalls, SIEM).
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated eagerness to learn and grow in the cybersecurity field.
Preferred
Experience working in enterprise Windows environments.
Relevant coursework or certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, etc.).
Salary: $21 hourly rate
