Team Introduction The Traffic Infrastructure Global Engineering (TIGE)-Traffic Platform team at ByteDance builds and operates multi-cloud based large scale network services around the world that we use to accelerate and optimize network traffic for Tiktok and a variety of application services for ByteDance internal customers, which include but are not limited to layer 4/7 loadbalancing, layer 4/7 acceleration, global ingress, forwarding proxy etc. By joining us, you can work within a brilliant team and learn how to build Tiktok scale network traffic platform which serves billions of users globally. Summer Start Dates: - May 11th, 2026 - May 18th, 2026 - May 26th, 2026 - June 8th, 2026 - June 22nd, 2026 Responsibilities - Build and enhance AI oncall agents to automate diagnostics, anomaly detection, and root cause analysis. - Prototype multi-agent collaboration workflows that can coordinate across different infrastructure domains. - Design and codify processes and playbooks for global teams, evolving them into automated workflows. - Analyze incident and operational data to identify recurring patterns and opportunities for AI-driven automation. - Document findings and present outcomes to cross-functional engineering and product teams. Minimum Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a Master’s or advanced undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field. - Strong programming skills in Python, Golang, or similar languages. - Must be able to commit to a 12-week full-time work period during Summer 2026. Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., LangChain, RAG systems, or multi-agent orchestration) is a plus. - Understanding of distributed systems, networking, or observability concepts. - Analytical mindset with a passion for simplifying complex system operations. - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
