Team Description: The Operations Steam Cell Team provide leadership during the execution of the schedule for steam turbine repair processes supporting safety, quality, delivery, and cost. 

- Safety: Foster a safety-first mindset across the Richmond Service Center and contribute to maintaining a safe work environment. 
- Quality: Support the "Zero-Defect" culture by collaborating with the Quality Department to develop and document Standard Repair Methods, focusing on areas with process variation leading to defects.
- Delivery: Generate standard work orders, including material codes, labor hours, and resources, ensuring production is in line with established standards.

- Projects: Focused on reducing technical resolutions/disposition cycle time. Other continuous improvement projects to ensure flow within the operations.
- Methods development with standard work.

Basic Qualifications:

-Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering.

-Minimum 4.0/5.0 GPA.

Desired Qualifications:

- Knowledge of machining process, mechanical assembly processes, welding, read/create technical drawings.

The pay for this position ranges from $27-29 / hr. based on years of undergraduate/graduate field of study completed.

This position is also eligible for:

• Relocation Assistance: Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.
• Housing Allowance: Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern’s permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.
• Employee Assistance Program, providing 24/7 confidential assessment, counseling and referral services
• GE Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) after their accumulated service reaches 90 days, and they meet any other eligibility requirements as defined in the plans. (Eligibility occurs on the 1st of the month following the 90th day.)
