Your Mission

We are looking for a Sustainability Intern to join the BlaBlaCar team for 6 months, starting in January 2026.
The role of Sustainability Intern will report into the Group Head of Sustainability. You will be part of the Broader Finance team at BlaBlaCar, with your manager reporting into the CFO.

The Sustainability team is responsible for:

- BlaBlaCar’s sustainability strategy (ESG Roadmap; Business Cases; Carbon Trajectories; Benchmarking; Other Analysis)
- ESG reporting and external requests (Impact Reports; Investor Requests; CSRD),
- ESG data and KPIs (inc. carbon footprint and avoided emissions; ESG KPI tracking & calculation)
- Launching any new projects and initiatives
- Accreditations and ratings
- Carbon Credits Strategy

Your responsibilities

  • Help prepare BlaBlaCar’s 2025 Impact Report, by collecting, consolidating, and structuring insights and updates
  • Collate, calculate and analyse key ESG data as part of annual ESG KPI process
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis as needed (e.g. benchmarking, emission factors computation, business case development)
  • Provide operational support for sustainability initiatives (e.g.  policies, communications)Develop materials for key presentations including bi-monthly
  • Steering Committee meetings with BlaBlaCar Executive Committee members
  • Lead relationships with external partners (e.g. design agency, auditors, consultants)
  •  Build positive relationships and coordinate with BlaBlaCar team members across functions and offices (e.g. Product, Engineering, Finance, Strategy, Bus, Carpool, Government Relations, Communications, People teams)

Your qualifications

  • You are currently enrolled in a Business or Engineering School seeking a 6-month internship starting March 2025
  • 1-3 previous internship experiences in consulting, finance, business intelligence or other relevant analytical position
  • Strong problem solving skills: quantitative and qualitative analysis, logical thinking
  • Technical skills: solid knowledge of spreadsheets and presentation programs (e.g. Google Sheets and Slides)
  • Excellent communication skills: ability/experience in synthesizing and communicating information and data clearly
  • Thorough attention to details, you take pride in your work
  • Thriving in a collaborative, fast-growing and innovative environment
  • Excited by the opportunity to take ‘day to day’ ownership for certain projects
  • Full working proficiency in English

  • Nice to have: proficiency in data visualization tools or SAAS platforms; previous professional sustainability experience
  • Note: Having an internship agreement from your school or university is mandatory. We won’t be able to proceed with your application otherwise.
