Programme Essentials
To join one of our 12-month Internships you must meet one of the following criteria:
- You’re currently an undergraduate studying at University and returning to full time education in Autumn 2027
- You’re looking to gain work experience after completing your A-Levels, an equivalent course or an Apprenticeship
Additionally, you must be eligible to work in the UK without restriction for the duration of the internship from Monday 29th June 2026 – Friday 23rd July 2027.

What will I be doing?
As a Licensing Intern, you’ll be Supports Licensing Team to deliver results across all Licensee Partners, reporting to the Snr Marketing Manager.
The UPHE Licensing Team drives profits for the UPHE by licensing physical rights to key partners around the world through two main activities;
Territory Licensing – in all International Territories the UPHE Licensing team are tasked to select and manage a trusted partner to profitably distribute Universal & our content.
Title Licensing – taking ad hoc opportunities to deliver incremental profit in all markets.
- Supports delivery of annual budgets for the licensing team.
- Maximize profits on all content, review of ad hoc opportunities.
- Ensures Licensee Partners have all materials and assets on time and supports approval process
- Ensure windowing timelines and PR guidelines are clearly communicated and followed
- Generates excitement and ideas with partners and within the team on all content.
- Work with Snr Marketing Manager, Licensees & Content Owners to find new opportunities.
- Ensure all approvals and content compliance checks are followed and met
What will I learn from this opportunity?
How the licensing works within an International Entertainment business (similar for different formats of Film / TV and similar to Music):
- The Marketing plans – communication and execution
- The Commercials – how do all parties make money
- How a product is brought to market – production of the format / approvals process with talent for bonus material / management of the process to ensure contractual obligations with talent are met
How to work in an International business:
- Different cultures and ways to market product
- Different rules / languages and ways of working with different markets
- How to work as part of a team where your success is dependent on each other
The experience and learnings that will come from the above opportunities create a fantastic platform with a wide amount of experience that lends itself to other opportunities in Entertainment licensing (Consumer Products, Physical format licensing, TV licensing, Digital licensing).

- Skilled at building strong relationships, able to influence internally and externally to get support
- Analytical skills to support make the right commercial decisions
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities and requirements simultaneously
- Passionate in presenting film and TV content and opportunities.
- Ability to flex and change direction when required
- Team player – works for the good of the team outcomes
