The Pharmacy Growth and Innovation (Undergraduate) internship experience is an10.5-week full-time opportunity that starts on May 27th, 2026, and concludes on August 7th, 2026.

This is a hybrid position with 3 days (generally Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) in the Woonsocket, RI office location. The other 2 days each week will be working remotely from home, office, or another location of your choice. No housing or housing stipend will be provided, but interns will be given the opportunity to connect with each other prior to the start of the program to coordinate housing if desired.

The hourly rate is  $25/hr with 40 hours/ week, no work on July 4th (company holiday), and two days of paid leave. Additionally, our corporate interns have an increased likelihood to receive an offer for a future role with CVS Health.

About this business area:

The Pharmacy Growth and Omnichannel team defines, develops, and delivers new patient care programs that improve patient adherence to their medication, improve health outcomes and patient experience, and reduces costs to patients and healthcare payers. This team addresses some of the greatest emerging opportunities in healthcare such as COVID-19, patient-centered design, health equity and omnichannel access. Additionally this team:

  • Drives Pharmacy Growth & Innovation: Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, products, and services that enhance patient outcomes, improve adherence, and increase loyalty.
  • Advances Omnichannel Strategy: Support pharmacy teams and improve customer experience by making CVS a more accessible and convenient health destination.
  • Promotes Equity & Access: Integrate insights on social drivers of health to ensure inclusive and equitable pharmacy services."

You will gain valuable work experience and participate in:

  • Analyzing demographic and health data to identify underserved communities, assess gaps in pharmacy access and engagement, and contribute to internal reports on social drivers of health with actionable recommendations to improve long-term outcomes.
  • Supporting strategic initiatives by gathering and organizing data for new pharmacy service business cases, benchmarking competitors, summarizing insights in PowerPoint for leadership, and preparing regular performance reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Conducting economic and demographic analysis to identify disparities in pharmacy access and utilization, evaluate the impact of social drivers of health on patient outcomes, and provide data-driven recommendations to address gaps and improve service equity.

Required Qualifications

  • Meet educational requirements (see education section)
  • Core Business & Analytical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft 365 Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, and SharePoint/OneDrive).


Preferred Qualifications

  • Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Ability to synthesize industry trends and consumer data to identify growth opportunities.
  • Design Thinking & Ideation: Familiarity with frameworks for brainstorming, prototyping, and testing new pharmacy services.
  • Customer Journey Mapping: Understanding of omnichannel strategies and tools to improve patient experience across digital and physical touchpoints.
  • UX Research & Testing: Basic knowledge of usability testing and user feedback analysis to support service design, along with foundational experience in using Power BI and Tableau dashboards for creating reports and visualizing user insights.
  • Have internship, work, or project experience in related field such


Education

  • Have a major, minor, concentration, or work experience relevant to the position. Examples include: Business Administration/Management, Economics, Health Administration, Public Health, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • Have an anticipated graduation date between September 2026 and August 2027

$25.00 - $25.00
