Job Summary

The HR Intern will support the Human Resources department in various day-to-day activities within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and other HR-related functions. The HR Intern will assist with administrative tasks, help maintain employee records, and contribute to employee engagement initiatives. This role offers an excellent opportunity for career development in the field of employee benefits and human resources.

Essential Functions

  • Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job ads, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Help coordinate recruitment events.
  • Help prepare and organize onboarding materials for new hires.
  • Assist with the scheduling and coordination of employee schedules.
  • Ensure proper documentation is completed for new employees.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate employee files and HR databases.
  • Ensure employee records are up-to-date with relevant documents (e.g., certifications, evaluations, etc.).
  • Support HR in ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including filing, data entry, and creating reports.
  • Assist in handling employee inquiries and concerns as directed by the HR manager.
  • Help with safety training documentation and employee tracking for workplace safety initiatives.
  • Assist with maintaining safety records in line with industry regulations.

Job Qualifications

Required

  • Working towards a degree in degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Customer service-oriented with a positive attitude.

Environment

  • Hybrid work environment that mixes in-office and remote work to offer flexibility and support to employees. In-office hours are set by department manager.
