We’re hiring an Intern: Corporate Development M&A for our Corporate HQ in Columbia, MO for Fall 2025 and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction. 

Primary Responsibilities

This internship will expose you to the full lifecycle of Corporate Development -- from sourcing leads to executing deals -- while providing hands-on experience in a fast-growing industry. 

50% - Deal Sourcing & Lead Generation

  • Research and identify potential acquisition targets in priority markets.
  • Cold call and email company owners, brokers, and bankers to introduce EquipmentShare, establish relationships and explore opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of active leads.
  • Support preparation of outreach materials and tracking of all interactions.

30% - Deal Execution Support

  • Assist in financial and market analysis for active transactions.
  • Support due diligence processes across financial, operational, and legal workstreams.
  • Help prepare presentations and investment memos for executive review.
  • Track progress of active deals and maintain internal databases.

20% - Strategy & Other Projects

  • Research industry trends, competitors, and new markets.
  • Support cross-functional integration planning for acquisitions.
  • Contribute to ad hoc strategic initiatives for the Corp Dev team.

What You're Working With

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • GPA of 3.5 or higher required.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to cold call and engage directly with company owners and executives.
  • Analytical ability to interpret financial statements and market data.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to financial modeling a plus.
