About the Team

The Engine Manufacturing team is dedicated to delivering high-performance engines and advancing innovative manufacturing systems that continuously improve cost, quality, and lead time. You’re not just executing on designs; you actively provide input that shapes new hardware iterations and regularly interface with engineers to make critical decisions for the Aeon R program. Having successfully developed and refined processes for our initial development engines, the team is now focused on producing flight engines at rate for Terran R’s aggressive launch manifest.

What you'll do:

Define, architect, and establish an optimized, efficient product flow of flight hardware through the Factory
Identify and solve tooling and work center needs and lead the efforts of standing up key Factory capabilities
Help drive the development of business tools and processes that will be used to manufacture Aeon R and Aeon V engines and their subassemblies.
Work closely with other manufacturing engineers, technicians, and cross functional partners to produce and test engine hardware to meet critical path demands.

Skills/Competencies we're looking for:

Obtaining BS or MS in an applicable technical focused discipline
Experience working on practical engineering projects, from conception through product/solution delivery and implementation.
To be successful in this role, you need to be able to thrive in ambiguity, identify problems and quickly resolve them, and provide definition to the previously undefined
An ability to balance a scrappy, get-it-done attitude with a vision for the long-term processes required for scaling and efficiency

Past intern projects (just a few examples!)

Owner of process development for a new additively manufactured Aeon R component
Designing and conducting high pressure pneumatics testing plans for cryogenic valves
Design and fabricate an optimized assembly bench for multiple valve products. 
Determine a method for match balancing turbomachinery components and conduct testing to validate process
Create tooling for just about any and all process improvement you can identify.
