In Person

From target to the clinic. AbCellera’s platform integrates biology, computation, and engineering to develop impactful antibody-based medicines. We’re scientists, engineers, and business professionals who work together to turn scientific insights into breakthrough medicines. We pursue truth and scientific rigor. We think independently, act with conviction, and have the courage to work at the edge of the unknown. We offer the opportunity to stretch and explore, and to work on things that matter.

We are looking for a motivated and talented individual currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field to join our Analytical Development team as a co-op or intern for a 8-month term, starting in May 2026. This role supports Process Development by executing routine analytical testing and managing multiple requests with efficient experimental planning. It also involves sharing clear results with stakeholders and working collaboratively with Analytical Development and Process Development teams to coordinate testing needs and ensure timely project support.

While in this position, based in beautiful Vancouver, you will receive guidance and supervision from experienced team members within the Analytical Development team. The internship is designed to offer exposure to real-world projects and the opportunity to contribute to the advancement of antibody-based medicines from target to clinic within Canada.

How you might spend your days

  • Running a variety of analytical instruments including UPLC, UV-VIS, plate reader, automated liquid handlers, and pH meters
  • Summarizing and sharing analytical results with project teams and colleagues
  • Managing an analytical request schedule; designing experimental plans that aggregate multiple requests to better deliver results in a timely manner
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across Analytical Development and Process Development to manage testing requests, clarify analytical questions, and support project needs

We'd love to hear from you if

  • You have strong interpersonal skills with a supportive, team-player attitude, and approachable communication style
  • You are self-motivated and eager to learn, bringing enthusiasm, initiative, and openness to new ways of working
  • You are enrolled in a BSc program in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a relevant field
  • You are excited to be a part of a fast-paced team and learn new scientific techniques, including chromatography and automation
  • You have technical proficiency in separation based or plate based analytical methods including SEC, HCP ELISA, Protein A Titre, or CE
  • You are familiar with, or interested in learning, analytical applications such as Empower, Softmax Pro, and others
  • You are familiar with, or interested in learning, CMC analytical development of monoclonal antibodies or related biotherapeutic proteins

What we offer

AbCellera’s hiring range for this role is CAD $3,300 - $3,700 per month, commensurate with your education and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base pay, we offer a number of ways to support AbCellerites in maximizing their work-life synergy. You will have a vacation allowance as well as additional days off as part of our company-wide office closures (a real value to all!), and sick leave time while on your internship. Scientific and technical mentorship is a priority. And you’ll find we prioritize teams and social groups to build community and connections across AbCellera.
