This internship based in Santa Clara, California, offers an exciting opportunity for students interested in clinical systems, medical device management, and healthcare technology. Interns will work on projects supporting the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of medical equipment used in patient care.
About the Role
As a Clinical Engineering intern, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support the installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of medical devices and clinical systems. Your work will contribute to ensuring the safety, reliability, and effectiveness of healthcare technology used in clinical environments.

Key Responsibilities
Assist in the installation, calibration, and testing of medical devices and systems.
Support troubleshooting and repair of clinical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Participate in preventive maintenance and safety checks of medical devices.
Document device configurations, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting procedures.
Collaborate with clinical staff to understand device usage and safety considerations.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to device management and clinical workflows.
Assist with inventory management and equipment lifecycle tracking.
Contribute to safety audits and compliance documentation.
Responsibilities may be tailored or specialized based on the specific project, team, or role within this internship track.
Qualifications
Must-Have
Currently enrolled in an accredited university or college program throughout the internship (bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD).
University student status: Undergrad Sophomore or higher; Master’s and PhD considered for advanced areas.
Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) and during the hours agreed upon with the hiring manager.
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 reflective of all coursework
Commitment to June 1 – August 21, 2026, or June 22 – September 4, 2026, term dates to align with cohort
Interest or experience in healthcare technology, clinical systems, or biomedical engineering.
Target majors include Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Systems Engineeringand Health Informatics or closely related field.
Preferred
Basic understanding of medical device operation, calibration, or troubleshooting.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills for collaboration with clinical staff.
Knowledge of healthcare safety standards and device documentation.
Permanent US work authorization without the need for sponsorship now, or in the future (The company does not provide sponsorship for employment visa status. Students currently in the country on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT require future sponsorship).

The expected pay range for this position is between $31.00 per hour and $59.00 per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. Co-Ops/Interns are eligible to participate in Company sponsored employee medical benefits in accordance with the terms of the plan. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible for the following sick time benefits: up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington, up to 56 hours per calendar year. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension).
