Total Industrial Engineer (Co-op / Intern)

DENSO Manufacturing is seeking curious, motivated, and adaptable students who are excited to learn and grow in a hands-on engineering environment in Battle Creek, MI. Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial Engineering or a related field preferred)
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

What You’ll Do

As a Co-op/Intern, you’ll be an integral part of our engineering team, supporting real-world projects that drive efficiency and innovation. You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Just-In-Time (JIT) principles
  • Assist in designing tools, jigs, and layouts to enhance production processes
  • Support data collection and analysis to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams on projects like new product introductions, capacity planning, and process optimization
  • Learn how to apply Standardized Work and other TPS (Toyota Production System) concepts in a manufacturing environment
  • Contribute to a culture of learning, experimentation, and shared success
