Job Description

Position Summary:
The Sales Support Intern will assist the Decking Sales team with a variety of administrative and customer service tasks. This internship is designed to provide exposure to sales operations, customer engagement, and cross-functional collaboration within a wholesale business environment.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the team by responding to basic customer inquiries related to order status, product details, and claims/returns under supervision.
  • Collaborate with Sales to help identify and document customer-related issues and assist in implementing resolutions.
  • Provide assistance in gathering and organizing product specifications, catalog data, and performance information for internal use.
  • Act as a support liaison between Sales and other departments such as Category Management, Distribution, Pricing, and Sales Administration.
  • Help communicate updates and concerns from internal teams to the Sales group.
  • Assist in creating and formatting documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Help maintain and update CRM records (HubSpot) with guidance.
  • Generate simple sales reports and summaries as requested.
  • Participate in the preparation of annual district sales plans for up to 3 districts.
  • Attend sales training sessions to gain foundational knowledge of sales processes and tools.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to learn CRM tools such as HubSpot.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
