Do you enjoy collaborating with others and working as part of a team? If so, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis (FHLBank) invites you to apply for our 2026 Summer Internship Program!

We’re looking for well-rounded, motivated students to join us for a 10-week paid internship where you’ll gain hands-on experience, build your professional network, and develop valuable skills in a dynamic business environment.

What You’ll Experience

As a Community Investment intern at FHLBank, you’ll:

  • Collaborate with department managers to support various cross-functional projects.

  • Conduct data analysis for multi-state needs assessments.

  • Perform data mining and reporting for the AHP (Affordable Housing Program) project.

  • Assist the CID department with outreach and marketing initiatives.

  • Support additional departmental tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Apply strong problem-solving and communication skills to collaborate across teams and present analytical results effectively

  • Contribute to meaningful projects that align with your field of study

  • Gain exposure to the finance and banking industry

  • Participate in team-building activities, a group project, a community service event, and professional development sessions (including dining etiquette!)

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking students who:

  • Have completed at least their sophomore year of undergraduate studies. Graduate students are encouraged to apply.

  • Are majoring in Urban Planning and Development, Economics, Real-Estate Development, or Business

  • Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally

  • Work well independently and in team settings

  • Are detail-oriented, organized, and eager to solve problems

Program Highlights

  • 10-week paid internship: Monday, June 1 to Friday, August 7
