Collins is currently seeking a summer intern to join our Accounting & Controllership team for the Kidde business in Wilson, NC. Kidde Fire Protection Systems is a global organization providing fully integrated fire protection systems for aircraft and ground vehicles in both the commercial and government markets.

This position is for an entry-level internship as a financial analyst to work with a finance team on finance and accounting related activities. There will be special ad-hoc projects as required to support growth and development during the internship.

What You Will Do:

• Research opportunities to improve current processes and support continuous improvement activities.  
• Assist in the preparation, tracking, and analysis of financial data related to finance activities, budgets, and transactions.
• Evaluate existing tools and systems utilized by the finance team to identify potential areas for enhancement and optimization.
• Execute a range of accounting tasks in accordance with established accounting principles and standards.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

• Proficient knowledge using Microsoft Office products

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
