Job Description  

Machine Learning Engineers at CoStar playan important rolein this process, by mining data from sources including billions of pageviews, millions of images, vast geographic data, deep property content, and much more. We enhance our extensive property database, personalize our customers’ experience on our product websites, and create innovative datasets and forecasts that are the industry standards in our market leading products.

We are looking for a Machine Learning Intern to join our collaborative group that includes a mix of big data, API, and full stack development teams. We are growing rapidly to help invent the future of Real Estate, with Machine Learning playing a critical role in that growth.

This position is located inArlington, VAand offers a schedule of4days onsite,1day remote.

Responsibilities 

• Collaborate on the continued improvement of CoStar’s cloud-based machine learning environment.

• Design, build, train,deployand evaluate machine learning models that handlelarge amountsof data.

• Collaborate with other engineers, product owners, and leadership to create ML solutions that solve practical problems and improve ourcustomer’sexperience.

• Gain an understanding of the CoStar business and how ML can improve things.

Basic Qualifications 

• Must be currently enrolled full time in aMaster’sor PhD program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, orpossessequivalent experience, withanticipatedgraduation between December 2026 and June 2027

• Hands-on experience in developing and adapting algorithms for machine learning, as well as for image, text, multimodal data, or similar fields.

• Professional experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist, or related role (forMaster’scandidates), or completion of 3+ relevant internships.

• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow,PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.

• Experience deploying end-to-end ML solutions in cloud-based environments, including data ingestion, model training, evaluation, and inference.

• Deep understanding of core ML concepts and ability to design custom solutions for practical problems.

• Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with databases, such as DynamoDB, and cloud ML platforms, such as Databricks
