The internship will take place June 1st-August 7th 2026. Interns will be scheduled to work 20-30 hours per week, Mon-Fri business hours. This is an on-site role requiring the ability to work at locations throughout the Greater Charlotte area.

Pay Range

$20.00 - $20.00

Our Pharmacy Internship Program offers pharmacy students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic healthcare setting. Interns will work alongside licensed pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to support patient care, medication management, and pharmacy operations.

Major Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in shadowing dispensing medications and verifying prescriptions.
• Participate in medication reconciliation and patient counseling under supervision.
• Support inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and checking expiration dates.
• Learn and apply pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication use.
• Attend educational sessions and case discussions to enhance clinical knowledge.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and special projects.
• Develop a deeper understanding of pharmacy operations in a clinical or retail setting.
• Enhance patient communication and counseling skills.
• Gain exposure to formulary management, drug information resources, and regulatory compliance.
• Build professional relationships and receive mentorship from experienced pharmacists.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

• None Required.

Education Required:

Currently enrolled with a junior or senior status pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry or Biology with a strong interest in Pharmacy.

Experience Required:

• No experience required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

• Current enrollment with junior or senior status at a regional accredited college or university. Interns are expected to be in the process of obtaining an undergraduate degree
• Grade point average of at least 2.5.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability in successfully completing tasks.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Effective multitasking and prioritization skills.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel.
• Must demonstrate integrity, maturity, dependability, a positive attitude and enthusiasm.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
