The Technology PMO Team is seeking an intern for the 10-week onsite Summer 2026 Internship Program at Live Oak Bank in Wilmington, NC.
About the Role
As an Intern focusing on Project Management, you will work alongside experienced banking professionals to support the planning, execution, and delivery of key initiatives within the bank. This role is designed to give you practical experience in both financial services and project management, helping you develop analytical, organizational, and leadership skills in a real-world banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist project managers in planning and tracking project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
· Conduct research and gather data to support project proposals, risk assessments, and status reports.
· Help prepare presentations, meeting notes, and progress updates for stakeholders.
· Coordinate with cross-functional teams (operations, compliance, IT, risk, etc.) to ensure tasks are completed on time.
· Support documentation and compliance requirements for banking projects.
· Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions.
· Participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions to build banking and project management knowledge.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Current student or recent graduate in Finance, Business, Economics, Project Management, or related field.
· Strong communication and organizational skills.
· Ability to work with spreadsheets, presentation software, and project tracking tools (e.g., MS Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Trello, or Jira).
· Attention to detail and ability to work independently under supervision.
· Interest in banking operations, regulatory compliance, and process improvement.

The base pay range for this position is $19.23 - $31.25 per hour. Compensation may also include annual bonuses and long-term incentives, subject to various metrics and company policy. A candidate’s salary is determined by several factors including travel, relevant work experience or skills and expertise.Please note that we provide at least the minimum requirement of paid sick leave to our employees who reside in states that require employer-paid sick leave, including but not limited to Arizona, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington.
