Position Description:

We are seeking a motivated and self-driven summer intern to support our External Communications team. This intern will support initiatives that shape and amplify the company’s public voice, gaining exposure to media relations, brand reputation management, and digital communications while contributing to high-impact external projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in drafting, editing, and distributing press releases and media advisories that communicate company milestones, strategic partnerships, and thought leadership initiatives.
Support the monitoring of corporate reputation by tracking media coverage, analyzing social sentiment, and assessing public perception using digital monitoring tools; help compile insights into regular reports for leadership review.
Contribute to the planning and execution of external social media campaigns, including content creation, scheduling, and performance tracking.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop engaging content for external audiences, such as blog posts, stories, and branded visuals that align with company messaging and goals.
Assist in gathering and analyzing campaign metrics to evaluate effectiveness; help prepare reports that inform future communication strategies and support data-driven decision-making.
Help coordinate communications with external partners, media contacts, and internal stakeholders to enhance brand visibility and ensure consistent strategic messaging across all channels.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be enrolled in an accredited university or college for at least one semester prior to internship or co-op, and at least one additional semester following internship or co-op.
Must be pursuing at least a bachelor’s level degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related major.
Academic performance: Minimum cumulative GPA 2.8/4.0.
Demonstrated leadership skills (i.e. extracurricular activities or projects).
Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship (students on an F1 visa with CPT can be accommodated).
Ability to commit to a full time (40 hrs. per week) Intern position.
