About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Intern - Software Development (Network Security & AI) to contribute to the development of an AI Firewall — an innovative system designed to secure and govern AI-driven traffic in enterprise environments. This project aims to build intelligent defences that monitor and control communication between AI agents, APIs, and enterprise systems. The intern will work at the intersection of AI, networking, and cybersecurity, helping design prototypes that enforce safety, privacy, and compliance in AI usage across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

Research and prototype concepts for an AI Firewall to protect enterprise AI traffic and interactions.
Design mechanisms to detect and mitigate risks such as prompt injection, data leakage, or policy violations in AI requests and responses.
Develop frameworks for governance and access control for AI models, agents, and APIs.
Integrate AI Firewall components with existing cloud and network security infrastructure (firewalls, API gateways, and identity systems).
Contribute to building AI agent monitoring and orchestration tools for secure hosting and life cycle management.
Document research findings, design specifications, and experimental results.

Required Qualifications

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber security, or related disciplines from a top engineering college.
Strong academic foundation in machine learning, networking, or information security.
Proficiency in Python and frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Lang Chain.
Working knowledge of LLMs, AI agent frameworks, or AI orchestration platforms (e.g., OpenAI functions, LangGraph, or CrewAI).
Understanding of API-based AI service hosting, containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud AI deployment.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with cloud networking and security technologies (e.g., AWS/GCP networking, VPNs, IPSec, Zero Trust).
Exposure to AI safety concepts, prompt injection defence, or data governance for LLMs.
Experience with monitoring and securing AI agent communication, microservice integration, or API policy enforcement.
Prior research, projects, or hackathon participation in AI security, generative AI, or agentic systems.
