The Walt Disney Company, a global leader in entertainment and technology, is seeking an AI/Data Solutions Intern to join The Walt Disney Studios’ Data Platforms Team. As part of the Studio Data Platform organization, the AI/Data Solutions Intern will help design, develop, and prototype data-driven and AI-enabled solutions that enhance decision-making, automation, and storytelling. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with modern data and AI technologies in a collaborative, fast-paced, and creative environment.

What You Will Do:

• Support the design and implementation of AI and data solutions that drive innovation across Studio business units.

• Assist in developing and testing prototypes leveraging machine learning, large language models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Agentic architectures.

• Collaborate with data engineers and scientists to integrate structured and unstructured data sources into analytical and AI workflows.

• Contribute to data validation, feature engineering, and performance evaluation of AI models and applications.

• Research and document emerging tools, frameworks, and best practices in generative AI, data engineering, and analytics.

• Help develop demos and proof-of-concept projects to showcase the value of AI in Studio operations and storytelling.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Foundational knowledge of data engineering, machine learning, or AI model integration.

• Experience with SQL and Python or similar programming languages.

• Exposure to large language models, chatbots, vector databases, and generative AI applications.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Curiosity, creativity, and a passion for learning in a dynamic, fast paced, team-oriented environment.

Education:

• Junior or Senior year preferred

• Major or previous coursework in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:

• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program AND returning to school the semester/quarter following the internship OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.

• Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.

• Be at least 18 years of age

• Possess unrestricted work authorization

The pay rate for this role in Burbank, CA is $42.00 per hour.
