Job Description

David Yurman Internship Program

The David Yurman Summer Internship Program is a paid, 10-week learning experience in which interns collaborate closely on company projects and initiatives in their respective professional areas of interest. Interns also work in teams throughout the summer to develop their capstone project, which is presented to our senior leadership team at the end of the summer.

At David Yurman, we are proud to foster a learning environment and provide interns with a robust learning and development program. Through professional and social events with internal and external guest speakers, interns have the opportunity to learn more about jewelry, luxury retail as well as develop their communication, presentation and leadership development skills.

Title- Women’s Concepts Design Intern

Reports to- Manager, Women Design- Concept

Overview

David Yurman is looking for a Design Intern to help support the Women’s Concept Development Team. The selected candidate should have outstanding interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills, and a collaborative approach.

What you’ll do

·Supports team in execution of design projects from approved 2D design through 3D development·

·Assists in maintaining accurate line plans in PLM and manages product information in the system, including archiving·

·Partners with stones and purchasing departments to order materials needed for design process ·

·Supports the team keeping the workspace physically organized · Manages sample photography.

·Assists in creation of spec sheets, technical drawings, and colorway edits·

·Assist in meeting prep for all design presentations.

Qualifications

·Prefer proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, Photoshop, Illustrator.

· Experience in jewelry design and stones is preferred.

· Highly organized and self-motivated.

· Creative aesthetic in keeping with that of the David Yurman brand.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education

Must be currently enrolled in undergraduate studies in a related field with a 3.0 overall GPA minimum. Preferred for intern to be currently studying design or related field. Majoring /Minoring in jewelry design is a plus but not required.

Work location

New York, in person 5 days a week
