As an EHS&S Intern at StandardAero’s Augusta Business Aviation MRO facility, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the Senior Environmental Health Safety & Sustainability Manager keeping our people, processes, and aircraft maintenance operations safe. Beginning in January 2026 and over the course of this 12+ week internship, you’ll work alongside experienced EHS&S professionals, contribute to meaningful initiatives, and spend time on the maintenance floor to understand how safety principles are applied in a real-world aviation environment.
What You’ll Do
- Support chemical inventory tracking and assist with waste management and wastewater initiatives
- Help develop, revise, and improve EHS&S programs, procedures, and compliance documentation
- Assist in building and updating training materials for various EHS programs
- Conduct safety inspections and contribute to identifying process improvements
- Provide administrative and project-based support to the EHS team
- Collaborate with technicians and managers across the facility on EHS-related initiatives
- Spend time on the maintenance floor observing processes and supporting EHS engagement
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned
Position Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Basic understanding of OSHA, EPA, and general EHS regulatory concepts
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Ability to work onsite 5 days per week in Augusta, GA
Preferred Characteristics
- Aviation / Aerospace industry training or professional experience
- Self-motivated with strong initiative and curiosity for learning in a fast-paced technical environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams including maintenance, training, quality, and operations
- Analytical mindset with interest in identifying process improvements
- Comfortable working both independently and in a team setting
- Flexibility to support multiple projects and changing priorities
