What you will be doing:

The Global Insights, Analytics and Commercial Operation (GIACO) team’s mission is to build best-in-class commercial capabilities to drive sustainable growth in the International region for Vertex.

We have various roles withing our GIACO team, including but not limited to:

Business Analytics

Primarily engaged in commercial analytics and Key Performance Indicator reporting. As an individual contributor, the intern will work closely with members of the commercial team, executive staff, and other teams involved in driving commercial excellence and innovation at Vertex.  This position includes a high level of statistical and analytical responsibilities with the use of large databases.

Commercial Excellence

The Commercial Excellence placement will support and execute projects focused on our Customer Relationship Management system, Field Metrics, and drive engagement of KAMNET our collaboration portal for our Key Account Managers. This also plays an active role in supporting our Commercial Excellence Council. During the one-year placement, the Commercial Excellence Intern will work closely with the Commercial Excellence Manager/Associate Director and a cross-functional team on project delivery.

During your Summer Internship you will get the opportunity to learn about our industry from a hands-on perspective. You will be working closely with and learning from some of the brightest people in the industry. Interns can expect to be challenged by their work, connect with other students, and feel valued by the Vertex community.

What you will need to succeed:

Currently/recently enrolled in a business or mathematics-related university qualification (e.g. Data Science, Marketing, Business Management, Economics)

Interest in the pharmaceutical industry

Must be independently motivated and a strong team player

Evidence of project management and ability to meet deadlines

Excellent verbal and written communications skills, demonstrated analytical abilities

Excellent MS Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint expertise

Confidence in using/managing large databased and spreadsheets

Ability in presentation design and delivery

You must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week from 1st June to 7th August 2026
